Biography

Kelly Gorrell, M.D., is a Clinical Assistant Professor in the Department of Internal Medicine at UT Southwestern Medical Center.

Originally from Tampa, Florida, Dr. Gorrell holds a bachelor’s degree in psychology from Washington University in St. Louis. She earned her medical degree from Southern Illinois University and completed her internal medicine residency at Washington University in St. Louis, where she served as Chief Resident.

She joined the UT Southwestern faculty in 2025.

Dr. Gorrell’s clinical interests include improving healthcare access and outcomes for underserved populations. She is also passionate about medical student and resident education.

Personal Note

Dr. Gorrell’s interests outside of medicine include cooking, reading, traveling, and spending time with her family.
