Biography

Kevin Liang, M.D., is an Assistant Professor in the Department of Otolaryngology – Head and Neck Surgery at UT Southwestern Medical Center. He specializes in the full spectrum of voice, breathing, and swallowing disorders, with a special interest in airway surgery.

Dr. Liang established the UT Southwestern Center for Complex Airway Reconstruction to deliver comprehensive, multidisciplinary airway care for patients in Texas and beyond. He has extensive experience providing a full range of airway treatment options, including awake in-office procedures, advanced endoscopic interventions, and open reconstruction.

He completed his undergraduate studies in neuroscience and anthropology at Washington University in St. Louis. He then gained valuable experience as an electronic health record software implementation consultant at Epic Systems Corp. before earning his medical degree at UMass Chan Medical School.

Dr. Liang completed a residency in otolaryngology – head and neck surgery at the Cleveland Clinic, followed by advanced training through a laryngology and upper airway surgery fellowship at Vanderbilt University Medical Center.

Personal Note

When he’s not at work, Dr. Liang enjoys spending time with his family, playing sports, and exploring Dallas restaurants.
