Biography

Kim Tran, M.D., is a Clinical Assistant Professor in the Department of Family and Community Medicine at UT Southwestern Medical Center. She specializes in chronic condition management, acute care, and preventive care.

Dr. Tran earned her medical degree at UT Southwestern Medical School and completed a residency in family medicine at Methodist Charlton Medical Center.

Certified by the American Board of Family Medicine, she joined the UT Southwestern faculty in 2023.

Fluent in Vietnamese and English, Dr. Tran treats patients for both chronic and acute concerns. She is an expert in preventive medicine and aims to empower her patients and coach them to lifelong health.

She is a member of the American Academy of Family Physicians and the Texas Medical Association, among other professional organizations.

Personal Note

When she’s not at work, Dr. Tran enjoys hiking and camping with her husband and two children.
