Biography
Kimberly Spoonts, M.D., is a Clinical Assistant Professor in the Department of Obstetrics and Gynecology at UT Southwestern Medical Center. She specializes in pregnancy care, cervical dysplasia, well-woman exams, and Ob/Gyn emergency services.
Dr. Spoonts earned her medical degree at Texas A&M University College of Medicine and completed a residency in obstetrics and gynecology at UT Southwestern.
Certified by the American Board of Obstetrics and Gynecology, she joined the UT Southwestern faculty in 2017.
Among her other roles at UT Southwestern, Dr. Spoonts serves on the Medical Student Human Sexuality Committee and the Residency Curriculum Task Force. In addition, she is one of three physicians who work in the Employee Women's Wellness Center at Parkland Memorial Hospital.
Dr. Spoonts is a Fellow of the American College of Obstetricians and Gynecologists and a member of the Texas Medical Association and the Dallas County Medical Society.
