Biography

Lauren Ann Gillory, M.D., is an Assistant Professor in the Department of Surgery at UT Southwestern Medical Center. She specializes in pediatric surgery with particular focus on pediatric trauma, critical care, and minimally invasive techniques. She is also interested in medical education.

Dr. Gillory earned her medical degree at the University of Texas Medical Branch at Galveston. She completed a residency in general surgery at Wake Forest University and then received advanced training through a surgical research fellowship at the University of Alabama at Birmingham, a clinical fellowship in surgical critical care at Baylor College of Medicine, and a clinical fellowship in pediatric surgery at Vanderbilt University.

Certified by the American Board of Surgery, Dr. Gillory joined the UT Southwestern faculty in 2020.

She is a member of the American College of Surgeons, the American Pediatric Surgical Association, and the Pediatric Trauma Society.
