Biography

Lauren Williams, M.D., is an Assistant Professor in the Department of Pediatrics at UT Southwestern Medical Center.

Dr. Williams earned her medical degree at the University of Texas Medical Branch at Galveston and completed a residency in pediatrics and global child health at Ben Taub Hospital in Texas, where she served as Chief Resident. She received advanced training through a fellowship in pediatric critical care at Texas Children’s Hospital and a fellowship in hospice and palliative medicine at University of Michigan Hospitals and Health Centers.

Certified by the American Board of Pediatrics in pediatric critical care medicine, she joined the UT Southwestern faculty in 2022.

At UT Southwestern, she serves as the ICU Director of the VitalTalk Advanced Communication Training Program and Co-Chair of the Tracheostomy Committee. She is a member of several professional associations, including the American Academy of Pediatrics.
