Biography

Lesley B. Conrad, M.D., is an Associate Professor in the Department of Obstetrics and Gynecology at UT Southwestern Medical Center. She specializes in the treatment of gynecologic malignancies including ovary, uterine/endometrial, cervical, vulvar, and vaginal cancers.

Dr. Conrad graduated from Agnes Scott College in Decatur, Georgia, with a bachelor’s degree in biochemistry and molecular biology. She earned her medical degree at Louisiana State University Health Sciences Center (LSUHSC) School of Medicine in Shreveport and completed her residency training in obstetrics and gynecology at LSUHSC. She completed her fellowship in gynecologic oncology at UT Southwestern Medical Center.

Board certified in obstetrics and gynecology and gynecologic oncology, Dr. Conrad joined the UT Southwestern faculty in 2023.

Prior to joining UT Southwestern, Dr. Conrad was an Assistant Professor in the Department of Obstetrics and Gynecology at Emory University in Atlanta, Georgia. She then moved to Omaha, Nebraska, serving as an Associate Professor in the Department of Obstetrics and Gynecology at Creighton University School of Medicine. While at Creighton, Dr. Conrad was the Division Director of Gynecologic Oncology at CHI Health Bergan Mercy Hospital and the Interim Clinical Director at Creighton University’s Lynch Comprehensive Cancer Research Center.

She has been actively involved in medical student, postgraduate resident, fellow, and advanced practice provider education since 2017. In 2021, Dr. Conrad received the Silver Speculum Award for Excellence in Teaching from the Creighton University School of Medicine.

A Fellow of the American College of Obstetricians and Gynecologists and the American College of Surgeons, Dr. Conrad is a member of several professional organizations, including the Society of Gynecologic Oncology and Western Association of Gynecologic Oncology. She also serves on the Early Career and New Investigator (ECNI) Committee for NRG Oncology.

Her cancer research focuses on the genomic landscape of gynecologic malignancies, with an emphasis on familial cancer syndromes and minority populations as well as developmental therapeutics in uterine/endometrial and vulvar cancers. She is the author of several articles and case reports for peer-reviewed journals, and she has delivered several national presentations.

Personal Note

When she’s not at work, Dr. Conrad enjoys being outdoors, traveling, trying new restaurants, and spending time with family and friends.
