Leslie Herrera-Martinez, M.P.A.S., PA-C

Biography

Leslie Herrera-Martinez, MPAS, PA-C, is a board certified Physician Assistant in the department of Internal Medicine at UT Southwestern Medical Center. Ms. Herrera-Martinez graduated cum laude with a Bachelor of Arts in Political Science and Minor in Economics from Wellesley College in 1998. In 2009, she earned her Master of Physician Assistant Studies from UT Southwestern School of Health Professions where she was inducted into the Pi Alpha Honor Society. She brings to her current role a depth of clinical experience having worked in both hospital and private practice sectors with experience in Internal Medicine, ER Medicine, Family Medicine, Urgent Care, and Hospitalist Medicine. She has a special interest in preventative care and addressing health disparities. She is a member of American Academy of Physician Assistants and Texas Academy of Physician Assistants. She's enjoyed precepting future PAs when given the opportunity and currently collaborates with the program by proctoring their clinical evaluation exams.

Leslie has been married to her college sweetheart for over 20 years. They have two children who are the joys of their lives. In her time away from work, she enjoys reading, cooking, traveling, and just generally spending time with family.
