Biography
Leslie D. Rosenstein, Ph.D., ABPP, is an Associate Professor in the Department of Psychiatry at UT Southwestern Medical Center. She specializes in clinical neuropsychology, with a focus on the evaluation and treatment planning of patients with neurocognitive disorders, traumatic brain injury (TBI), and stroke.
Dr. Rosenstein obtained her undergraduate degree in psychology at The University of Texas at Austin with high honors and special honors in psychology. She earned her doctoral degree in differential psychology at The University of Texas at Austin, followed by a doctoral respecialization in clinical psychology with a major in neuropsychology at the University of Arizona. She completed her postdoctoral internship at Austin State Hospital.
Certified by the American Board of Professional Psychology in clinical neuropsychology, she joined the UT Southwestern faculty in 2017.
Dr. Rosenstein has served on the faculty of various universities, including Texas A&M University School of Medicine. At UT Southwestern, she conducts neuropsychological evaluations of people with known or suspected neurological disorders. She also directs the internship rotation at Parkland Health’s Outpatient Psychiatry Clinic for the psychology graduate program.
She serves on the Clinical Training Committee in the doctoral clinical psychology program, and she has served as Co-Chair of the Curriculum Committee. She has also served on the Texas State Board of Examiners of Psychologists and the State Medicaid Managed Care Advisory Committee.
Dr. Rosenstein’s research interests are diverse and include differential diagnosis, reliability and validity of assessment tools, the interplay of health and neuropsychological function, research design and analysis, cross-cultural neuropsychology, and professional issues.
