Biography
Lilly Tran, O.D., is a Faculty Associate in the Department of Ophthalmology at UT Southwestern Medical Center. She is an optometrist and specializes in specialty contact lenses, primary care optometry, pediatric optometry, and dry eyes.
Dr. Tran earned her optometry doctorate at The Ohio State University College of Optometry. She gained advanced training through an optometry fellowship in specialty contact lenses at the University of Houston College of Optometry.
Certified by the National Board of Optometry, she joined the UT Southwestern faculty in June 2024.
Dr. Tran was a volume editor for the textbook Clinical Ocular Anatomy and Physiology. She has delivered lecture presentations related to her areas of knowledge in specialty contact lenses and presented posters at optometric conferences. She is also a published author in the journal Contact Lens Spectrum.
Personal Note
When she’s not providing patient care, Dr. Tran enjoys working out, including running; visiting thrift stores and exploring fashion; and watching The Ohio State football.
