Biography

Mecca Chenier, MPAS, MPH, PA-C, is a board-certified Physician Assistant (PA) in the Department of Internal Medicine - Infectious Diseases at UT Southwestern Medical Center. Ms. Chenier completed her initial undergraduate degree from the University of Central Oklahoma and then earned a Bachelor of Science in Physician Assistant Studies from Pennsylvania College of Technology (an affiliate of Pennsylvania State University) in 2016 followed by her Master of Physician Assistant Studies from Touro College in 2017. She also earned her Master of Public Health degree from the University of Texas Health Science Center in 2019. Prior to working at UT Southwestern, she worked as a Physician Assistant with the Infectious Diseases Department at Parkland Memorial Hospital and was awarded PA of the Year in 2020. She is a member of the Infectious Diseases Society of America and has a special interest in outpatient parenteral antimicrobial therapy (OPAT) and clinical innovation.
