Biography
Megan Shea, D.O., is an Assistant Professor in the Department of Pediatrics at UT Southwestern Medical Center.
Dr. Shea earned her medical degree at the Philadelphia College of Osteopathic Medicine. She completed a residency in pediatrics at NewYork-Presbyterian/Weill Cornell Medical Center and received advanced training through a fellowship in pediatric critical care medicine at Monroe Carell Jr. Children’s Hospital at Vanderbilt, where she was Chief Fellow.
She also has a Master of Public Health in health policy and administration from St. George’s University in Grenada, West Indies.
Certified by the American Board of Pediatrics in pediatric critical care medicine, she joined the UT Southwestern faculty in 2023.
At UT Southwestern, Dr. Shea serves as the Team Lead for Team FIRST and is a member of numerous committees, including the Pediatric Critical Care Fellow Education Improvement Committee for the Division of Pediatric Critical Care Medicine.
