Biography

Dr. Ham holds undergraduate and medical degrees from The University of South Carolina. She completed a residency in pediatrics at Richland Memorial Hospital-University of South Carolina School of Medicine in Columbia, SC and a fellowship in pediatric endocrinology at UT Southwestern. Immediately following the completion of her fellowship in 2002, which included an extensive study on children with Type 1 diabetes with ketoacidosis, she became faculty and is now a Clinical Associate Professor of Pediatrics in the division of Pediatric Endocrinology. She became board certified in Pediatrics in 1999 and in Pediatric Endocrinology in 2003. Dr. Ham is an attending physician at Children's Medical Center of Dallas and is on staff at its Endocrinology Center where she treats patients in a teaching environment. She intends to expand her role in the near future by participating in clinical research involving the spectrum of polycystic ovarian syndrome, dysmetabolic syndrome, and Type II diabetes mellitus. Her activity in the endocrinology community continues as she is pursuing membership in the Lawson Wilkins Pediatric Endocrine Society.
