Biography
Melissa Panter, M.S.N., APRN, AGACNP-BC, currently serves as the lead of the Inpatient Neurology Advanced Practice Providers and is a board-certified acute care nurse practitioner in the Department of Neurology at UT Southwestern Medical Center. Mrs. Panter earned her bachelor's degree in nursing from Texas Christian University and a Master of Science in Nursing from the University of Texas at Arlington.
She has an extensive background in the neurosciences and worked as an RN in the neurosciences intensive care unit at UT Southwestern for many years before earning her master's degree. She graduated from the UT Southwestern Neurosciences Nursing Research Fellowship in 2018 and is a published author in the Journal of Neuroscience Nursing. She has a special interest in neurovascular research and training new nurse practitioners.
She is a member of the American Association of Nurse Practitioners, the American Academy of Neurology, the American Heart Association, and the American Association of Neuroscience Nurses.
