Biography

Melissa Panter, MSN, APRN, AGACNP-BC, is a board certified acute care nurse practitioner (NP) in the Department of Neurology at UT Southwestern Medical Center. Mrs. Panter completed her bachelor degree in nursing at Texas Christian University and her Master of Science in Nursing at University of Texas at Arlington. She has an extensive background in the neurosciences. She worked as an RN the neurosciences intensive care unit at UT Southwestern for many years prior to obtaining her Masters. She graduated from the UT Southwestern Neurosciences Nursing Research Fellowship in 2018 and is a published author in the Journal of Neuroscience Nursing. She has a special interest in neurovascular research and training new nurse practitioners. She is a member of the American Association of Nurse Practitioners, the American Association of Critical Care Nurses, and the American Association of Neuroscience Nurses.
