Biography
Meredith McAdams, M.D., is an Assistant Professor in the Department of Internal Medicine at UT Southwestern Medical Center. She provides care at the North Texas VA Health Care System and Clements University Hospital and its affiliated clinics. She specializes in acute kidney injury, cardiorenal syndrome, and ICU nephrology.
Dr. McAdams earned her medical degree at the University of Kentucky College of Medicine, where she also completed a residency in internal medicine. She gained advanced training in nephrology through a fellowship at UT Southwestern, during which she served as Chief Fellow. She also completed a clinical research fellowship at UT Southwestern.
Board certified in internal medicine and nephrology, she joined the UT Southwestern faculty in 2022.
Dr. McAdams is a member of several professional societies, including the American Society of Nephrology, the National Kidney Foundation, and Women in Nephrology. She has published numerous articles in peer-reviewed journals related to her areas of clinical interest.
At UT Southwestern, Dr. McAdams is a co-investigator on several clinical trials related to acute kidney injury and chronic kidney injury.
