Biography

Monica Pierce, MSN, APRN, ACNP-BC, is a Nurse Practitioner in the Department of Cardiovascular and Thoracic Surgery at UT Southwestern Medical Center. She specializes in Cardiac Surgery with an emphasis in Cardiovascular Critical Care. Ms. Pierce completed her undergraduate degree from the University of Southern Mississippi in 2006 and earned her Master of Science in Nursing degree from the University of Mississippi Medical Center in 2012. Since that time, she has been board certified as an Acute Care Nurse Practitioner and has worked with Cardiothoracic Surgical patients for nearly 13 years. She holds and maintains an active CCRN certification. She is a member of the American Association of Nurse Practitioners, American Association of Critical Care Nurses and the Society of Critical Care Medicine.
