Biography

Namrata Peswani, M.D., is an Assistant Professor in the Department of Internal Medicine at UT Southwestern Medical Center. She specializes in hematology and oncology, with a focus on breast cancer and palliative care.

Dr. Peswani earned her medical degree at K.J. Somaiya Medical College in Mumbai, India, and then completed a residency in internal medicine at Saint Vincent Hospital in Worcester, Massachusetts. She received advanced training in palliative medicine and in hematology and oncology through separate fellowships at the McGaw Medical Center of Northwestern University and the Medical College of Wisconsin, respectively.

Certified by the American Board of Internal Medicine, Dr. Peswani joined the UT Southwestern faculty in 2020.

She is a member of the American Society of Clinical Oncology, the American Society of Hematology, the American Association of Hospice and Palliative Medicine, the American Medical Association, the American College of Physicians, the Indian Medical Association, and the Wisconsin Medical Society.
