Biography

Nancy Chung, M.D., is an Assistant Professor in the Department of Pediatrics at UT Southwestern Medical Center. She specializes in pediatric critical care and extracorporeal membrane oxygenation (ECMO).

Dr. Chung earned her medical degree at Drexel University College of Medicine and completed a residency in pediatrics at St. Christopher’s Hospital for Children in Philadelphia. She received advanced training through a pediatric critical care fellowship at Children’s Hospital at Montefiore in the Bronx, New York, and an extracorporeal life support fellowship at Texas Children’s Hospital in Houston.

Certified by the American Board of Pediatrics in general pediatrics and pediatric critical care, she joined the UT Southwestern faculty in 2025.

Dr. Chung’s clinical interests include quality improvement and ECMO.

She is a Fellow of the American Academy of Pediatrics. She also serves on the Pediatric ECMO Education Committee of the Pediatric Acute Lung Injury & Sepsis Investigators (PALISI) Network.

Personal Note

When she’s not at work, Dr. Chung enjoys doing yoga, reading, traveling, and trying new restaurants.
