Biography
Pamela DeOrnellas, DNP, ACHPN, FNP-BC, is a board-certified family nurse practitioner (NP) at Simmons Comprehensive Cancer Center in the Department of Palliative Care at UT Southwestern Medical Center. Dr. DeOrnellas graduated summa cum laude with her undergraduate degree from Goldfarb School of Nursing at Barnes Jewish College in St. Louis, Missouri, and then earned her Doctor of Nursing Practice degree with a minor in nursing education from the University of Missouri in Columbia. She holds advanced certification as a nurse practitioner in hospice and palliative care and has practiced in palliative medicine since 2016. She is a member of the Hospice and Palliative Nurses Association, the Oncology Nurses Association, and the American Society of Clinical Oncology.
