Biography

Pamela DeOrnellas, DNP, APRN, FNP-BC, is a board certified Family Nurse Practitioner (NP) at Simmons Comprehensive Cancer Center in the Department of Palliative Care at UT Southwestern Medical Center. Dr. DeOrnellas graduated Summa Cum Laude with her undergraduate degree from Goldfarb School of Nursing at Barnes Jewish College in St. Louis, Missouri and then earned her Doctor of Nursing Practice degree with a minor in Nursing Education from The University of Missouri in Columbia in 2016. She has practiced in Palliative Medicine and Family Medicine since 2016 now focusing in Palliative Care within the specialty of Oncology. She is a member of the Oncology Nurses Association and Hospice and Palliative Nurses Association.
