Biography

Robert Haddox, M.D., is an Assistant Professor in the Department of Internal Medicine at UT Southwestern Medical Center. He specializes in general internal medicine with an interest in geriatrics.

Dr. Haddox earned his medical degree at UT Southwestern Medical School. He completed a residency in internal medicine at UT Southwestern Medical Center, Parkland Memorial Hospital, and Dallas Veterans Affairs Medical Center.

Certified by the American Board of Internal Medicine, he joined the UT Southwestern faculty in 2023. Earlier in his career, he spent a few years at UT Southwestern, followed by a period in private practice.

Dr. Haddox’s clinical focus is on helping patients with multiple chronic health problems manage their illnesses and achieve their goals. He has researched various topics, including ipratropium bromide and emergency room management of chronic obstructive pulmonary disease (COPD). He has published several academic articles related to his areas of expertise.

He is a member of the American College of Physicians, the Texas Medical Association, and the Dallas County Medical Association.

Personal Note

When he’s not at work, Dr. Haddox enjoys traveling to visit dear friends scattered about and seeing the sights along the way; making chili; camping and hanging out at the lake; listening to music, both live and recorded; taking in a baseball game at any level of proficiency; reading; and researching his ancestors.
