Before joining UT Southwestern, she worked as a hospitalist Physician Assistant at Parkland Memorial Hospital, where she developed a strong foundation in internal medicine and collaborated closely with consultants across multiple specialties. In 2020, she collaborated with key stakeholders across the Cancer Center to help launch the first ambulatory oncology acute care clinic, designed to provide timely management of acute illnesses in oncology patients and reduce unnecessary emergency department utilization. She also partnered with multidisciplinary teams to develop evidence-based clinical pathways for common acute oncology presentations, which were later incorporated into the electronic medical record as order sets.

In addition to her clinical work, she is deeply committed to education and has enjoyed precepting physician assistant and nurse practitioner students throughout her career. She currently serves primarily in an academic role while continuing to practice clinically in oncology one day per week, bringing together her clinical, educational, and systems improvement experience in support of teaching and mentorship.
