Biography

Sean Burke, M.D., is an Assistant Professor in the Department of Internal Medicine at UT Southwestern Medical Center. He specializes in hospital medicine.

After earning his medical degree at the University of Virginia, Dr. Burke completed a residency in internal medicine at the University of Virginia Health System.

Certified by the American Board of Internal Medicine, he joined the UT Southwestern faculty in 2023.

Dr. Burke’s clinical interests include quality improvement and medical education. He is a member of the American College of Physicians and the Society of Hospital Medicine.

Dr. Burke is the chief operations officer for the Core IM Podcast, a virtual information-sharing platform for medical students and physicians.

Personal Note

When he’s not at work, Dr. Burke enjoys golfing and spending time with his wife and daughter.
