Biography

Sonia Shoukat, M.D., is a Clinical Assistant Professor in the Department of Internal Medicine at UT Southwestern Medical Center.

Dr. Shoukat earned her medical degree at King Edward Medical University in Lahore, Pakistan, and completed internal medicine residency training at Saint Joseph Hospital in Chicago.

Before joining the UT Southwestern faculty in 2025, she worked as a hospitalist for 6 years in Southern California.

Dr. Shoukat is certified by the American Board of Internal Medicine.

Personal Note

Outside of medicine, she enjoys traveling, trying different cuisines, working out, and spending time with family and friends.
