Biography

Stephanie Arar, M.D., is an Assistant Professor in the Department of Pediatrics at UT Southwestern Medical Center.

Dr. Arar earned her medical degree at the UT Health Science Center at San Antonio. She completed a residency in pediatrics at UT Southwestern/Children’s Health.

Certified by the American Board of Pediatrics in both pediatric hospital medicine and general pediatrics, she joined the UT Southwestern faculty in 2017.

Dr. Arar is the Medical Director for the Pediatric Hospital Medicine Intermediate Care Unit and serves as a Physician Advisor for Utilization Management at Children’s Health. She is also a Fellow of the American Academy of Pediatrics (AAP) and serves on the organization’s Committee on Hospital Medicine.

She is a member of the executive committee of the AAP Subcommittee on Pediatric Intermediate Care Units (PIMCU).
