Biography

Steven Copenhaver, M.D., is a Clinical Associate Professor in the Department of Pediatrics at UT Southwestern Medical Center.

Dr. Copenhaver earned his medical degree at Texas A&M University College of Medicine. He completed a residency in pediatrics at Duke University Medical Center and received advanced training through a pediatric pulmonology fellowship at the University of Colorado Health Sciences Center.

Certified by the American Board of Pediatrics in pediatric pulmonology, he joined the UT Southwestern faculty in 2002.

Dr. Copenhaver is the Pulmonary Medical Director and the Pulmonary Section Chief at Children’s Medical Center Plano. He is a Fellow of the American Academy of Pediatrics and the American College of Chest Physicians and a member of the American Medical Association, the American Thoracic Society, and the Dallas County Medical Society.
