Biography

Steven Blaine Holloway, M.D., is an Assistant Professor in the Department of Obstetrics and Gynecology at UT Southwestern Medical Center. He specializes in the complex surgical management of all gynecologic malignancies, including radical cytoreductive surgery, minimally invasive cancer staging, and advanced laparoscopy and robotic surgery.

Dr. Holloway earned his medical degree at the McGovern Medical School at UTHealth Houston. He completed a residency in obstetrics and gynecology at UT Southwestern, where he also gained advanced training through a gynecologic oncology fellowship.

Certified by the American Board of Obstetrics and Gynecology, he joined the UT Southwestern faculty in 2024.

In addition to his areas of clinical focus, Dr. Holloway has a strong interest in the leading-edge medical management of gynecologic malignancies, including precision oncology, immunotherapy, and targeted therapeutics. He is also dedicated to providing compassionate, full-spectrum Ob/Gyn care from diagnosis to end-of-life care while maintaining patients’ dignity and humanity.

Dr. Holloway is a Fellow of the American College of Obstetricians and Gynecologists and is a member of other professional organizations, including the Society of Gynecologic Oncology, the Western Association of Gynecologic Oncology, and the American Medical Association.

He has delivered numerous presentations at local, regional, and national academic meetings and published multiple peer-reviewed academic articles related to his areas of expertise. He is actively engaged in multidisciplinary collaborations and educational endeavors.

In 2023, Dr. Holloway was recognized as Fellow of the Year by Parkland Health, the highest honor of achievement related to integrity, compassion, accountability, respect, and equity.

Personal Note

When he’s not at work, Dr. Holloway enjoys traveling and experiencing new cultures, broadening his medical horizons, and trying to keep up with his growing toddler.
