Biography

Syed Mazher, M.D., is an Assistant Professor in the Department of Internal Medicine at UT Southwestern Medical Center. He is interested in all aspects of thrombosis, lung cancer, lymphoma, myelodysplastic syndromes (MDS), and supportive care.

Dr. Mazher earned his medical degree at Dow Medical College in Karachi, Pakistan. He completed a residency in internal medicine at Highland Hospital of Rochester and received advanced training in oncology and hematology through a fellowship at the University of Rochester Medical Center.

He spent a year in supportive care at the Myeloma Institute in Little Rock, Arkansas, and was also in private practice in Little Rock.

He joined the UT Southwestern faculty in 2019.
