Biography

Taketo Baba, M.D., is an Assistant Professor in the Department of Pediatrics at UT Southwestern Medical Center.

Dr. Baba earned his medical degree at Tohoku University School of Medicine in Japan. He completed a residency in emergency medicine at Orlando Health, where he also received advanced training through a pediatric emergency medicine fellowship. Dr. Baba then completed a fellowship in pediatric point-of-care ultrasound at Texas Children's Hospital.

Certified by the American Board of Emergency Medicine in emergency medicine and pediatric emergency medicine, he joined the UT Southwestern faculty in 2023.

Dr. Baba is Associate Director of Clinical Ultrasound for the Division of Pediatric Emergency Medicine at UT Southwestern and Children’s Medical Center Dallas. He is a member of the American Academy of Pediatrics and the American College of Emergency Physicians.
