Tangela Butler, M.S.N., APRN, AGPCNP-C

Biography

Tangela Butler, M.S.N., APRN, AGPCNP-C, is a board-certified Adult/Gerontology Nurse Practitioner in the Harold C. Simmons Comprehensive Cancer Center at UT Southwestern Medical Center. Her clinical focus is in melanoma, sarcoma and head and neck medical oncology.

She obtained her Bachelor of Science in Nursing at the University of Arkansas at Pine Bluff in 2007. She went on to earn her Master of Science Degree at Texas Woman's University in Houston, Texas in 2015.

She states that her patients with cancer have taught her about life, love, family, friendship, perseverance, and gratitude, through witnessing the strength within them to fight for life, family, friends, and themselves. These patient experiences are why she chose to work in oncology.
