Biography

Tara Pavlock, CPNP-AC, CPON, is a board certified Pediatric Nurse Practitioner, in the Department of Pediatric Hematology-Oncology at Children's Medical Center Dallas/UTSW. Ms. Pavlock completed her undergraduate degree in nursing at Madonna University in Livonia, Michigan in 2002. She worked as a bedside nurse for 7 years, prior to going on to graduate school. She obtained a Master of Science in Nursing, with a focus in pediatric acute care and pediatric oncology, from the University of Pennsylvania, in Philadelphia in 2009. She has worked at Children's Medical Center Dallas in the Center for Cancer in Blood Disorders since 2009, initially as a provider on the stem cell transplant service. She was awarded the Advanced Practice Excellence Award for Education and Accountability in 2011 and was nominated for an Advanced Practice Excellence Award again in 2017. In 2015, she transitioned roles, and was instrumental in helping to build the Experimental and Cellular Therapeutics Program in Oncology at Children's Health. She continues to provide care to pediatric patients on Phase I and II Clinical Trials, with a particular focus on Cellular and Immunotherapy.
