Biography
Teddy Muisyo, M.D., is an Assistant Professor in the Department of Pediatrics at UT Southwestern Medical Center.
Dr. Muisyo earned his medical degree at the University of Nairobi School of Medicine in Kenya. He completed a residency in pediatrics at the John H. Stroger Jr. Hospital of Cook County in Chicago. He received advanced training through a pediatric critical care fellowship at Washington University in St. Louis.
Certified by the American Board of Pediatrics in pediatric critical care, he joined the UT Southwestern faculty in 2023.
Dr. Muisyo serves in a number of quality improvement committees in the Department of Pediatrics. His research interests are focused on improving the quality of care and outcomes of children admitted to the pediatric intensive care unit. He is a member of the American Academy of Pediatrics, the Extracorporeal Life Support Organization, Pediatric Acute Lung Injury and Sepsis Investigators, and the Society of Critical Care Medicine.
