Biography

Victoria Chung, D.O., is an Assistant Professor in the Department of Internal Medicine at UT Southwestern Medical Center. She specializes in hematology and medical oncology, especially gastrointestinal cancers.

Dr. Chung earned her medical degree at the Alabama College of Osteopathic Medicine. She completed a residency in internal medicine and received advanced training through a hematology and oncology fellowship at Ochsner Medical Center in New Orleans, where she served as Chief Fellow.

Certified by the American Board of Internal Medicine in internal medicine and medical oncology, she joined the UT Southwestern faculty in 2024.

Dr. Chung’s clinical interests also include socioeconomic determinants of health and quality improvement.

She has delivered poster presentations and published peer-reviewed academic articles related to her areas of expertise.

Personal Note

When she’s not at work, Dr. Chung enjoys reading, playing the violin and piano, cooking, and spending time with her daughter, husband, and dog.
