Biography

William Caleb Hancock, M.D., is an Assistant Professor in the Department of Pediatrics at UT Southwestern Medical Center.

Dr. Hancock earned his medical degree at the University of Texas Medical Branch at Galveston. He completed a residency in pediatrics at the University of Tennessee Health Science Center, where he also received advanced training through a pediatric hospital medicine fellowship.

Certified by the American Board of Pediatrics in pediatric hospital medicine, he joined the UT Southwestern faculty in 2024.

Dr. Hancock has interests in clinical pathway development, quality improvement, and patient safety initiatives. He serves as the Medical Director of Clinical Standards and Outcomes in the Division of Pediatric Hospital Medicine at UT Southwestern.

He is a member of the American Academy of Pediatrics and the Society of Hospital Medicine.
