Biography

Abigail Hughes, M.S.N., APRN, FNP-C, is a board-certified family nurse practitioner in the Department of Family and Community Medicine at UT Southwestern Medical Center at Coppell. Mrs. Hughes completed her undergraduate training at Northeastern University in Boston and earned a master’s degree from the University of Texas at Arlington. She is board-certified by the American Academy of Nurse Practitioners. She is passionate about providing patient-centered care, with a strong focus on prevention, holistic wellness, and empowering individuals to take charge of their health.

Her clinical interests include women’s health and chronic disease prevention, and she strives to support each patient through personalized, compassionate care. She values building trust and collaborative relationships and tailors care plans to address each person’s physical, emotional, and social well-being. Outside the clinic, she enjoys spending time with family, friends, and her dogs. She stays active through running, loves baking homemade bread, and enjoys traveling to experience new cultures and perspectives.
