Biography

Adrianna Martin, Ph.D., is a Clinical Assistant Professor with dual appointments in the Department of Psychiatry and the Department of Internal Medicine’s Division of Hematology and Oncology at UT Southwestern Medical Center. She specializes in post-traumatic stress disorder (PTSD), addiction, and health psychology.

Dr. Martin earned her doctorate in clinical psychology and completed a two-year, APA-accredited clinical psychology internship at UT Southwestern Medical School, where she served as Chief Resident in her final year. She gained advanced training through a postdoctoral fellowship in post-traumatic stress disorder and addiction psychology at Stanford University School of Medicine in California.

Licensed by the Texas State Board of Examiners of Psychologists, she joined the UT Southwestern faculty in 2026.

Dr. Martin’s research is focused on post-traumatic stress and health psychology in medically complex patient populations and Black, Indigenous, and People of Color (BIPOC) communities.

She is a member of both the American Psychological Association and Texas Psychological Association.

Personal Note

When she’s not at work, Dr. Martin enjoys traveling internationally, trying new restaurants, and going to the beach.
