Biography
Akshaya Jain, M.D., is a Clinical Assistant Professor in the Department of Obstetrics and Gynecology at UT Southwestern Medical Center. She specializes in obstetric emergencies, inpatient obstetric care, and acute gynecologic medical and surgical care.
Dr. Jain earned her medical degree at the UT Health San Antonio Long School of Medicine. She completed her residency in obstetrics and gynecology at Baylor University Medical Center in Dallas.
Certified by the American Board of Obstetrics and Gynecology, she joined the UT Southwestern faculty in 2025.
Dr. Jain is a Fellow of the American College of Obstetricians and Gynecologists.
Personal Note
When she’s not at work, Dr. Jain enjoys traveling, hiking, reading, and spending time with her husband, daughter, and dog.
