Biography

Annette Mancuso, M.S.N., APRN, PMHNP-BC, is a board-certified psychiatric mental health nurse practitioner (PMHNP) at UT Southwestern Medical Center. Originally from Miami, Florida, she earned her Master of Counseling Psychology at Florida International University and worked as a licensed professional counselor prior to attending nursing school and completing her Master of Nursing, Psychiatric-Mental Health Practitioner degree at the University of Texas Arlington. After earning her undergraduate nursing degree at Texas Woman's University, Annette completed a nurse residency program at UT Southwestern Medical Center, gaining significant medical experience in direct bedside care working with patients following a variety of surgical procedures. Ms. Mancuso transferred to the inpatient psychiatry unit at UTSW's Zale Lipshy Hospital and began to focus her nursing in acute care psychiatric patients, specifically on the electroconvulsive therapy (ECT) service. Combining her passion for both counseling and nursing, she sought a degree and licensure as a psychiatric nurse practitioner.
