Biography

Anthony Gauthier, PA-C, ATC, is a dual-certified Physician Assistant (PA) and Athletic Trainer in the Department of Orthopaedic Surgery at UT Southwestern Medical Center. Mr. Gauthier completed his undergraduate degree from California State University, Long Beach, where he earned a Bachelor of Arts in Kinesiology with an emphasis in Athletic Training, and then earned his Master of Science in Physician Assistant Studies from Western University of Health Sciences in 2008. He has worked in sports medicine and orthopedic surgery since 2008, with extensive experience assisting in the operating room and treating patients within the outpatient clinic environment. He is a member of the American Academy of Physician Assistants and previously served as an adjunct professor to the Master's in Athletic Training program at CSULB. Outside of clinical practice, he has provided community sports medicine outreach for local high schools and collegiate sports teams. He enjoys spending time with his wife and two children, hiking, and traveling.
