Biography

Anthony Meraz, D.N.A.P., CRNA, is a certified registered nurse anesthetist in the Department of Anesthesiology and Pain Management at UT Southwestern Medical Center. Mr. Meraz earned his Bachelor of Science in nursing from West Texas A&M University and later completed his Doctor of Nursing Anesthesia Practice at Texas Christian University.

During his clinical training, he primarily served at Clements University Hospital, where he gained extensive experience in a wide range of surgical and procedural anesthetics. His clinical interests include culturally sensitive anesthetic care, hemodynamic management, and evidence-based approaches to perioperative care.

He presented his research on esophageal cooling during radiofrequency ablations at the 2024 AANA Annual Congress in San Diego. Mr. Meraz is also an active member of the American Association of Nurse Anesthesiology and the National Association of Hispanic Nurses.
