Biography

Aurelie Garant, M.D., is an Associate Professor of Radiation Oncology and Director of the Brachytherapy Program at UT Southwestern Medical Center. She is board certified in radiation oncology by the American Board of Radiology.

Dr. Garant earned her medical degree at Université Laval, Canada, followed by a residency at McGill University Health Centre and a fellowship at Mayo Clinic in advanced radiation oncology. In 2015, she received the McGill University Residency Program award, and in 2017, the John D. Earle Fellowship at the Mayo Clinic.

In 2020, Dr. Garant received a Diploma of the Royal College of Physicians and Surgeons of Canada for focused competency in brachytherapy. Dr. Garant can provide brachytherapy expertise on the following conditions:

  • Skin cancer
  • Esophageal cancer
  • Endobronchial lung cancer
  • Penile cancer
  • Rectal cancer
  • Prostate cancer
  • Superficial urogenital cancers
  • Coronary artery restenosis

She can also provide intraoperative radiotherapy services for patients with complex pelvic tumors.
