Biography

Avani Raythatha, M.D., is a Clinical Assistant Professor in the Department of Obstetrics and Gynecology at UT Southwestern Medical Center. She specializes in inpatient obstetric care, management of labor and delivery, and obstetric and gynecologic emergenices.

Dr. Raythatha earned her medical degree at Baylor College of Medicine. She completed a residency in obstetrics and gynecology at The George Washington University School of Medicine and Health Sciences.

Certified by the American Board of Obstetrics and Gynecology, she joined the UT Southwestern faculty in 2023. Prior to joining UT Southwestern, she spent two years in private Ob/Gyn practice in Austin, TX.

Personal Note

When she’s not at work, Dr. Raythatha enjoys spending time with her family, trying new foods, traveling, and reading.
