Biography

Brett A. Whittemore, M.D., is an Assistant Professor in the Division of Pediatric Neurosurgery in the Department of Neurological Surgery at UT Southwestern Medical Center.

Dr. Whittemore studied electrical engineering and computer science at the Massachusetts Institute of Technology, earning his bachelor’s and master’s degrees in engineering. He then completed his medical degree and residency in neurological surgery at UT Southwestern. He also received advanced training in pediatric neurosurgery through a fellowship at UT Southwestern.

Dr. Whittemore’s interests include endoscopic skull base surgery, spinal surgery, and hydrocephalus. His goal is to combine his commitment to excellence and his compassion for children battling neurological illnesses to provide the best possible care to UT Southwestern’s young patients.
