Biography

Carley Porter, M.S.N., APRN, AGACNP-BC, CWOCN, is a board-certified nurse practitioner in the Department of Surgery, Division of Colon and Rectal Surgery. Ms. Porter completed her undergraduate degree from the University of Lynchburg in Lynchburg, Virginia in 2014 and then earned her Master of Science in Nursing at the University of Texas at Arlington in 2022. Prior to becoming a nurse practitioner, Ms. Porter worked as a registered nurse in general oncology where she found her passion for wound, ostomy, and continence nursing. She later received her certifications in all three areas and has worked as a wound, ostomy, and continence consultant nurse since 2017. She is a member of the Texas Nurse Practitioners and the Wound, Ostomy, and Continence Nurses Society.
