Biography

Christopher Roe, M.B.A., D.N.P., CENP, APRN, ACNP-BC, currently serves as the adult specialty director for the Office of Advanced Practice Providers and is a board-certified acute care nurse practitioner in the Department of Cardiovascular and Thoracic Surgery at UT Southwestern Medical Center.

Dr. Roe earned his undergraduate degree from the University of Delaware and a Master of Science in Nursing from the University of Pennsylvania in 2004. He later earned a Master of Business Administration from Wilmington University and a Doctor of Nursing Practice from Baylor University, where he developed a competency-based development and mentorship program for future advanced practice provider leaders.

Dr. Roe has served in various advanced practice leadership roles throughout his career while maintaining a clinical practice in adult cardiology and cardiovascular surgery, caring for patients in both inpatient and outpatient settings. He is a member of several professional organizations, including the American College of Cardiology and the American Association of Nurse Practitioners.
