Biography

Emmanuel Johnson, M.D., is a Clinical Assistant Professor in the Department of Internal Medicine at UT Southwestern Medical Center. He specializes in hospital medicine.

Dr. Johnson earned his medical degree at Meharry Medical College and completed his residency in internal medicine at UT Southwestern.

Certified by the American Board of Internal Medicine, he joined the UT Southwestern faculty in 2023. He previously served as an Assistant Professor of Clinical Medicine at Vanderbilt University Medical Center.

Dr. Johnson’s clinical interests include quality improvement and socioeconomic issues in medicine.

He is a member of the Society of Hospital Medicine.

When he’s not at work, Dr. Johnson enjoys spending time with his family, traveling, and working out.
