Biography
Ethan Tobias, M.D., is an Assistant Professor in the Department of Internal Medicine’s Division of Hematology and Oncology at UT Southwestern Medical Center. He specializes in gastrointestinal oncology, general oncology, and hematology.
Dr. Tobias earned his medical degree at Washington University School of Medicine in St. Louis. He completed a residency in internal medicine and received advanced training through a hematology and oncology fellowship at UT Southwestern, where he was a Chief Fellow.
Certified by the American Board of Internal Medicine, he joined the UT Southwestern faculty in 2024.
Dr. Tobias is a member of the American Society of Clinical Oncology, the American Society of Hematology, the American College of Physicians, and the American Medical Association.
He has delivered oral and poster presentations and published peer-reviewed academic articles related to his areas of expertise.

When he’s not at work, Dr. Tobias enjoys reading, baking bread, and spending time with his family.
