Gabriel Bustamante, M.D.

Biography

Gabriel Bustamante, M.D., is a Clinical Assistant Professor in the Department Internal Medicine at UT Southwestern Medical Center. He specializes in hospital medicine.

Dr. Bustamante earned his medical degree at the Baylor College of Medicine, where he also completed a residency in internal medicine.

He joined the UT Southwestern faculty in 2023.

Dr. Bustamante’s clinical interests include medical education and clinical reasoning. He is a member of the American College of Physicians.

Personal Note

When he’s not at work, Dr. Bustamante enjoys spending time with his wife and newborn son, playing basketball, traveling, cooking, enjoying nature, and watching Premier League soccer.
