Biography

Gabrielle Price, Psy.D., is an Assistant Professor in the Department of Psychiatry and Internal Medicine at UT Southwestern Medical Center. She serves as the Clinical Psychologist for the Weight Wellness Program in the Internal Medicine Subspecialties Clinic.

Dr. Price holds a Bachelor's degree in Public Health from the University of Arizona. She then earned her Doctoral degree in Clinical Psychology at Midwestern University in Glendale, Arizona. Dr. Price completed her postdoctoral residency training at Utah Valley Psychology in Orem, Utah, and her postdoctoral fellowship training at Wellness 360 in Dallas, Texas. Dr. Price utilizes a holistic approach to improve the overall wellness of others, informed by her background as a Certified Integrative Wellness & Life Coach. She uses techniques from traditional cognitive-behavioral therapy (CBT), dialectical-behavioral therapy (DBT), and reality therapy, as well as incorporates body awareness and mindfulness techniques into her therapeutic services.

Dr. Price has conducted research on pre-diabetes management, cardiovascular disease prevention, identifying disordered eating behaviors, reducing barriers in community health, and enhancing sexual wellness. She has published research on adhering to ethical considerations of minority populations and couples therapy. Dr. Price has a strong passion for providing effective and culturally competent care to individuals with intersecting marginalized identities (e.g., BIPOC, LGBTQ+, neurodivergence).
