Biography

Gayane Tumyan, M.D., is a Clinical Assistant Professor in the Department of Internal Medicine at UT Southwestern Medical Center. She specializes in general endocrinology, diabetes, and thyroid conditions.

Dr. Tumyan earned her medical degree at Yerevan State Medical University in Armenia. She completed a residency in internal medicine at Texas Health Presbyterian Hospital Dallas and received advanced training through an endocrinology and metabolism fellowship at UT Southwestern.

Certified by the American Board of Internal Medicine, she joined the UT Southwestern faculty in 2025.

Dr. Tumyan has published several academic articles related to her areas of expertise.

In 2022, she earned Texas Health Presbyterian Hospital Dallas’ Dr. Mark Feldman Award for Academic Excellence in Residency.

Personal Note

When she’s not at work, Dr. Tumyan enjoys ballroom dancing, kayaking, and baking.
