Biography

Henry B. Han, M.D., is an Assistant Professor in the Department of Internal Medicine at UT Southwestern Medical Center. He specializes in vascular and cardiovascular medicine.

Dr. Han earned his medical degree at UT Southwestern Medical School. He completed a residency in internal medicine and received advanced training through fellowships in vascular medicine and cardiovascular medicine at the University of Michigan. Certified by the American Board of Internal Medicine, he joined the UT Southwestern faculty in 2024.

Dr. Han's clinical interests focus on the comprehensive management of vascular disorders, including venous thromboembolism and aortopathies.

In addition to his clinical expertise, he is actively engaged in health services research, particularly in the areas of thrombosis and antithrombotic management. His research has contributed to insights into the management of venous thromboembolism, especially in the context of hospitalized patients and those with complex cardiovascular conditions.

Dr. Han's research is driven by a passion for improving health care delivery and patient safety through evidence-based practices. His work has been published in leading journals, including Journal of the American College of Cardiology, Vascular Medicine and Thrombosis Research. He is a recognized member of several professional societies, including the American College of Cardiology and the Society for Vascular Medicine.

Personal Note

When he’s not at work, Dr. Han enjoys watching Dallas Mavericks games, rock climbing, and hiking through all the national parks in the U.S.
